Project: Historic Orange
Orange, Texas
Orange Avenue is nestled in the heart of the Orange Historic District. This property had just reached its 100 year mark when we purchased it, and was not lacking any charm, so we embraced that as we made our revisions.
PROPERTY FUN FACT: This historic property was once owned by Nelda Stark. A little piece of Orange, Texas history in your own yard!
MODERN KITCHEN
The kitchen had 3 layers of flooring to be removed and replaced with a patterned porcelain tile. We replaced the tile countertops with quartz, added new sink, fixtures, fresh paint, new backsplash, cabinet hardware, new stove and range vent.
SMARTER LAYOUT
To make the layout flow better we widened the doorways entering the living room. A closet was transformed into a bookcase to bring balance the fireplace wall. A sitting area was enclosed to make an office with french doors. Part of the enclosed front porch was taken in to make an en suite for the master bedroom. Closets were reconfigured, and a new master bath was installed.
ALL THE DETAILS
The beautiful hardwood floors throughout the home were refinished, repairs were made to walls and ceilings, and paint.
The exterior trim was painted and custom designed skirting was added. The overgrown front hedges were removed, trees trim, and fresh potted plants were placed in front.
