Project: Ruby

Orange, Texas

Ruby was built in the 50’s, and had suffered some Hurricane Harvey damage. The owner was ill, and the family needed to sell the home. This home had not even been listed yet, so we were excited about the find! Sadly, the owner passed while we were renovating this property, but the son got to see pictures of the transformation and it brought tears to his eyes to see his mom’s house put back together so beautifully. These moments fueled us to get up, and do it all over again.

PROPERTY FUN FACT: This was our very first project! We were so nervous to get started flipping, and this little home turned out to be just what we needed to learn the ropes! Ruby also introduced us to our realtor by an accidental phone call, and we’ve been exclusive to her ever since!

NEW LAYOUT

We revised walls to create an open feel, added a laundry room, made a dining area from a sun room, and added square footage to the bathroom.

CURB APPEAL

We repaired and painted the exterior, added landscaping, removed the old iron column and replaced it with a wooden one. There was also a shed that we replaced the flooring in.

ALL THE DETAILS

We updated electrical, plumbing, all new paint, lighting, flooring, cabinetry, relocated the hot water heater to make the bathroom bigger, installed a new front door, and added central air and heat.
